Eastern Equipment & Engineering

We are located in Uttaragaria, right near the Po: Sarsada area in Bhandari Pokhari. It’s a quiet spot in Bhadrak, mostly just us and some local houses. Eastern Equipment & Engineering has been here for a while now. My family, specifically Kailash Ch. Khandai, has a lot to do with how we got set up. We handle various engineering tasks and equipment repairs. It isn’t anything fancy. The workshop gets pretty dusty during the dry months, and the rain in Orissa can make the roads a bit of a mess sometimes. We mostly just focus on getting the machines fixed and sent back out to whoever needs them. Most of the people working here are from around the village or nearby towns. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. It is hard work, but it keeps us busy. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. Just the main work area and a small space for the paperwork. Sometimes the power goes out, so we have to work around that. Life in Bhadrak moves at its own pace. We know our neighbors and the people who bring us parts. We try to keep the shop organized, but with all the metal and tools lying around, it’s always a bit cluttered. It’s just how an engineering place is supposed to look. We don’t spend money on advertising, we just do what we do and people find us.
