Ratna Creations

Ratna Creations is tucked away in Paper Town, specifically at No.9/33 in the 9th Ward, right on the 2nd Cross. It’s a bit of a residential area mixed with small businesses, so it has a different feel than the main city centers. We’ve got a small workspace here where we make our things. There’s always something being put together, whether it’s fabric, paper, or other materials. The place is often cluttered with scraps and tools, but that’s how we work. It’s not a showroom where everything is on display behind glass. It’s more like a workshop where you can see the process happening. We spend our days cutting, sewing, or whatever else needs doing. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood, though you hear the neighbors and the local street sounds. We don’t have a big sign or any bright lights to get attention. Most people who come to us are from the 9th Ward or have heard about us from someone else in Paper Town. We take things slow and focus on one piece at a time. Sometimes we get behind on our work because we’re small and there’s only so much we can do in a day. It’s a simple life here at Ratna Creations. We enjoy the work and the fact that we’re part of this little community. We just keep our heads down and keep making stuff until the day is done.
