Sri Jyothi Rice Industries

Sri Jyothi Rice Industries is situated in Bargarh, right near Chirapali and the State Bank branch. Our post office address is Jhuli Minda, but most people just know us by the big industrial shed we operate out of. Being near the bank makes it easy for the farmers and transporters who need to handle their paperwork after dropping off their loads. The facility is quite large because we need the room for the processing units and the storage of the raw paddy. It’s a loud place when the motors are running, and you have to shout a bit to be heard over the conveyors. We spend a lot of time checking the moisture in the grain and making sure the husking is done right. The floor is always covered in a bit of dust, which is unavoidable in this line of work. We have a small seating area for visitors, but most of the time we are on our feet moving around the plant. The heat can be intense during the summer months, but the high ceilings help a bit with the air circulation. We’ve been part of this Bargarh community for a good while, and we see the same faces year after year when the harvest comes in. It’s a steady kind of business, rooted in the land around us. We don’t bother much with advertisements, as the work mostly speaks for itself through the grain we produce every day.
