If you're looking for Rk Auto Paints, we are in Charampa village. It’s under Bhadrak Tehsil. Our shop is quite close to the State Bank of India and right near Hotel Anand. It’s a busy little corner. We deal with all kinds of paints for cars and bikes. Most of the day, we are mixing colors to get the right shade. The smell of thinner is always in the air. We have shelves full of tins, and sometimes it's hard to find the exact one we need in the back. The road outside is always full of people going to the bank or staying at the hotel. We get a lot of local mechanics coming in to buy a liter of this or a small can of that. It’s not a polished place. There are paint splashes on the floor and the counter is a bit sticky. We don't have any big advertisements. People just know we are here. When the sun goes down, the lights from Hotel Anand brighten up our side of the street. My hands are usually covered in some kind of primer or base coat by the end of the shift. We just try to get the orders ready so the guys can get back to their workshops. It’s a basic business. We open early and close when the street gets quiet. Bhadrak is a growing place, and there are always more vehicles needing a touch-up. We just keep the shop open and hope the rain doesn't slow things down too much.
