This is the Hindalco Power Plant Colony in Hirakud. Specifically, we are at Quarter Number D 72. We are situated in the Sambalpur district of Orissa, India, and the pin code is 768028. It is a busy place because of the power plant, as you can imagine. There is always something going on with the machinery or the logistics of the site. We are Hindalco Industries Ltd. and this particular spot is where a lot of us stay and work. Hirakud is known for the dam and the industry, and we are just one part of that bigger picture. The colony is a community in itself. You have families living right next to the guys working the late shifts. It isn't a corporate office in a big city with glass walls and fancy coffee. It is more about concrete, metal, and hard work. We have been here for a long time. The mail comes to D 72 and we handle things from there. Living and working in Sambalpur has its own rhythm that you get used to after a while. It can get quite hot in the summers, but the plant keeps running regardless of the temperature outside. We just focus on keeping the operations moving forward and making sure everything stays on track. It’s a straightforward life here at Hindalco Industries Ltd. in the Hirakud colony. We are just a regular bunch of people doing our jobs in Orissa and making sure the work is finished.
