Our college is situated right on Totapada Road here in Ghanteswar. It’s a local spot where students from around Bhadrak come to get their degrees. The campus isn't massive, but it has enough space for the classrooms and a place for kids to hang out between their lectures. Life here in Orissa moves at its own pace. We have various subjects and courses that the local youth sign up for every year. Some days are louder than others, especially when there's an event or exams are coming up. The teachers live nearby mostly and know the families of the students quite well. It feels like a small community. You can see the main gate from the road, and there’s usually some bicycles parked out front. We’ve been operating in this 756129 area for some time now. The buildings are simple, nothing too flashy, just solid walls and desks. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just carry on with the lessons anyway. It’s a place for learning and getting through the syllabus. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most people find out about Ghanteswar Degree College through word of mouth or because their older siblings came here first. It’s just a regular college trying to give the local kids a chance to study close to home without having to travel to the big cities. We keep the registers updated and the classrooms open from Monday to Saturday. Every morning we sweep the floors and get ready for another day of teaching.
