Djyoti Enterprises

We are set up out in Bangore, which is near Soso, if you're coming via Hadagarh. It’s a bit of a drive for some, but we’ve been here at this post office location for quite a while. Djyoti Enterprises is basically a local business where we try to provide what the community around here is looking for. It’s a quiet area mostly. We spend our mornings getting the shop ready and checking what needs to be ordered. It isn't a high-tech setup. We use old ledgers and keep track of things manually most of the time. The weather out here can be unpredictable, so we’re always making sure the roof is holding up okay. Most of our days are spent talking to neighbors who stop in. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy storefront. It’s just a practical place for practical needs. Sometimes the inventory takes a little longer to arrive because of the location, but we manage. We’ve lived in this area all our lives, so we know the people and what they expect. It’s not a complicated business model. We buy things, we sell them, and we try to be helpful when we can. If you are ever heading through Hadagarh towards the Soso police station area, you might see us. It’s a simple life out here and we like it. We usually close up early on festival days to be with our families. It’s just how things go in a small village like Bangore.
