Vinay Rice Mill

Vinay Rice Mill is located at 1/139 in Devarapalli, Yellandu. It is a straightforward operation that focuses on processing the local rice crops that come in from the nearby fields. The mill itself is a large, functional structure that was built to handle heavy work. We don't have a fancy office or air conditioning in the main area. It is just the machines and the stacks of bags waiting to be moved. Devarapalli is a decent spot for us because it is close to the farmers. We see a lot of the same faces every year when harvest time comes around. The work is physical and can be quite tiring, especially when we have to load up the trucks in the heat. We don't have a marketing department or a big management team. It’s just us and a few hired hands making sure the grain is cleaned and hulled right. Sometimes the dust gets to be a bit much, but you get used to it after a few years. We keep a simple notebook to track the loads coming in and going out. It is a very basic system, but it works for what we need here. Yellandu is a good community, and we feel like a part of it being here at 1/139. We don't make any big promises or claims. We just run the mill and try to keep things moving as smoothly as we can throughout the seasons.
