Sonali Poultry And Feed Private Limited is over in Baria, specifically the Chakbaria part of the village. We are at Santosh Kumar’s place. The government records list us at Khata 874 and Khasra 2693, but locals just call it the poultry spot in Panch-Bairiy. We do exactly what the name says—poultry and feed. It’s a busy place with a lot of movement. Santosh is usually around to handle the visitors or the deliveries. We don’t have a fancy office building. We work right where the birds and the feed are. It’s a bit of a messy job sometimes, but it’s what we do for a living. The smell of the feed is something you get used to. We started this in Baria because we live here and know the people. We don't use any high-tech marketing. We just make sure the feed is good and the poultry is taken care of. People from all over the Tola come by to get what they need. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult for the birds, so we have to stay alert. It’s a very hands-on business. No sitting in air-conditioned rooms all day for us.
