SARV SAHAYATA NIDHI LIMITED

Our office is tucked away in Kahala village, right in the Bishunpura area of Barauli. It’s easy to find if you know Ajit Kumar Singh’s place. We started Sarv Sahayata Nidhi Limited because folks in the village needed a place to put their savings without having to travel all the way to the big town. It’s a quiet spot most days, though it picks up on market days when everyone is out and about. We handle the local savings accounts and small bits of lending for the farmers and small shop owners around here. The building isn't anything special, just a practical space where we can sit down and talk. Sometimes the cows from the neighbors wander a bit close to the entrance, but that’s just life in the village. We do all our math carefully and make sure every rupee is accounted for. People trust us because we live here too. If you have a problem with your account, you don't call a 1-800 number, you just come find us. We use ledgers and some basic computer work when the power stays on long enough. It’s a bit dusty during the dry season, but we keep the inside clean for our members. We’ve known most of the families in Kahala for years. It’s not a fast-paced life, but it works for us and the people who bank here. We just try to keep things honest and helpful for everyone in the panchayat.
