Rakesh Traders

Our business, Rakesh Traders, is located in Ward No-8 over in Suriyawan. We are situated right near the Bpmg Public School, which means we hear the school bells and children playing all day long. It is a lively spot to be. We deal in basic goods and supplies that the local families and the farmers in the area need. It is a very straightforward trading business without any of the extra polish you might see in a big city store. We open the doors early in the morning and we usually don't close until it starts to get dark. The shop is a simple space with basic shelves and a small storage area in the back for the heavier items. We don't believe in using big marketing words. We just stock what people ask for. The roads around Ward No-8 can be a bit of a mess during the monsoon season, which makes it hard for deliveries to reach us sometimes. We just take it in stride. Usually, it’s just one or two of us working here, so we handle everything from unloading the trucks to talking with the customers. We’ve been in Suriyawan for quite a while now and most people know us by name. It is not a fancy life, but it is our life. We just try to be here when someone needs something and keep the shelves filled with the essentials.
