Pritam Mutual Benefit Nidhi Limited operates out of the village and post office in Prithvipur. You can find us at the care of Shailesh S Singh's place, right near the Hariharpur Bazar area in Jnp Varan. It’s a local operation through and through. We don't have a big glass building. Instead, we work from a spot that most people in the village can walk to easily. It’s handy being near the bazar because folks can drop by when they are out doing their regular shopping or running errands. The pace here is a bit slower than the big cities, but we still have plenty to do with all the accounts we manage for the local families. We mostly handle small savings and help people figure out how to put a little bit aside every month. There’s a lot of manual entries in our ledgers and we spend a good chunk of the day just keeping everything tidy. It can get a bit loud when the market is in full swing outside, but that’s just part of being in Hariharpur. We know most of the people who come through the door by their first names. It’s not a complicated business. We just keep track of things and make sure everyone gets their questions answered. Sometimes we have a cup of tea while we go over the documents. It’s just the way we do things here in our little corner of the village.
