MUBARAKPUR HANDLOOM WEAVER PRODUCER COMPANY LIMITED

We are based out of Mubarakpur, specifically in the Purakhijir area near Mohd Azam's place. It’s a real weaving community here. Most of us have been around looms since we were kids. This company was put together to help the local weavers get their stuff out there without too much trouble. It’s a collective effort, really. You’ll find Riyaz Ahamd’s place is usually the hub of activity. There’s always the sound of looms clicking in the background. It’s hard work, and the pay isn't always great, but it’s what the town is known for. We don’t have a big marketing department or a polished office. Our office is often just a room filled with finished cloth and bundles of yarn. We talk a lot about thread counts and dye colors. Sometimes the colors don't come out exactly right, and we have to start over. That’s just the nature of handloom work. It isn't perfect like machine-made stuff, but that’s the point. We just want to keep the tradition going and make sure the families here have enough work to keep their fires burning. It’s a quiet life for the most part, focused on the craft and the daily grind of weaving. We take things one day at a time here in Mubarakpur, trying to stay honest and keep the looms moving as long as we can.
