Diwedi Hardware

Diwedi Hardware sits right on the main road in Maharajganj, and if you listen closely, you can always hear the trains coming through the Katka Railway Station. It’s a busy spot with lots of people moving back and forth all day. We keep a lot of stuff on the shelves, from heavy tools to those tiny little screws that everyone seems to lose. The shop isn't exactly tidy, but we usually know where everything is tucked away. If we don’t have it, we try to tell you where else to look. It gets pretty loud with the traffic outside, so sometimes we have to shout over the trucks to hear what a customer is asking for. My hands are usually a bit greasy from handling the metal stock, and the floor always needs a sweep. We open up early because that’s when the builders and the local guys are out looking for parts. There isn’t a lot of sitting around here. It’s more about fetching things from the back and helping people find the right size pipe or a sturdy hammer. Being near the station means we see a lot of new faces, but the regulars are the ones who keep us going. We’ve been part of this street for quite some time now, just doing our job and selling hardware to whoever walks through the door. It is a simple life, surrounded by nuts, bolts, and the sound of the trains.
