Our group is based out of the Nagar Panchayat in Gangapur, which is a part of Varanasi. We are a producer company focused on handloom weaving. Most of the people involved here have been weaving for generations. It’s a tradition in this part of Uttar Pradesh, especially in the 221302 area. Our workspace is pretty simple. It’s filled with the sound of looms and people talking. We don't have a modern office with glass walls or fancy chairs. Instead, we have wooden frames and a lot of colorful thread everywhere. It’s a very manual process. We spend our days making sure the patterns are right and the quality is what it should be. Since we are a producer company, it’s all about the weavers working together. We aren't trying to be a massive corporation. We just want to keep the handloom tradition going and make sure everyone gets a fair deal. Varanasi is famous for its cloth, and being in Gangapur puts us right in the heart of it. Sometimes the heat makes it tough to work, but we’ve got fans and we take breaks. We don't have a marketing department. People usually hear about us from others in the trade. It’s a slow and steady way of working, but it’s what we know. We are just local folk making things with our hands and trying to keep our heritage alive in a small way every day.
