Artpalace Welfare India Foundation

Artpalace Welfare India Foundation is over in Fattupur on Modh road. It’s a local spot, nothing like the big city offices you see on TV. We have a small sign outside so people don't miss us, but most people in the area already know where we are. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the floors. We have a few old fans that make a bit of a racket, but they keep the air moving. Our daily routine is pretty much the same. We come in, check the mail, and see who needs help. We don't have a big staff, just a handful of us who live nearby. We don't use any fancy management techniques. If something needs fixing, we fix it. If someone needs to be called, we call them. It’s very direct. We have a big table in the middle of the room where we all sit together. It’s better for sharing ideas than having separate cubicles. Sometimes we bring food from home and eat together while we talk about the local news. The foundation is a big part of our lives, but we treat it like a regular job. We don't go around bragging about what we do. We just do it and then head home to our families. It is a quiet existence here, but it keeps us moving forward every single day.
