Our office for Anuj Shree Bachat Vavyashya Nidhi Limited is located in the Manikauli village area. We operate out of the premises cared for by Sumitra Devi. It’s a local spot that the villagers find quite easily. Since we’re right in the heart of the Gram Post area, we get a lot of people walking in while they’re out doing their daily errands. The office itself is very basic. We have some wooden chairs, a couple of heavy desks, and stacks of registers where we record everything by hand. It’s the old-fashioned way, but it works for us and the people who live here. We don’t have a website or a big marketing team. Most people hear about us because their cousins or neighbors told them we were a good place to keep their small savings. Manikauli is a place where people look out for each other, and we try to do the same. If someone is having a hard month, they can come in and talk to us about it. We’re not a big bank from the city; we’re just local people who understand what life is like in this village. Sometimes we have to wait for the post to arrive to get our paperwork finished, but we’re patient. It’s a quiet life here, and we’re just trying to be a helpful part of it by providing a place for the community’s savings to grow a little bit.
