Our facility is right off the Bhuj Bhachau Highway at Survey No. 3803/1. Being right on the highway means we see a lot of people and trucks passing through every day. It is a wide-open area with plenty of space for our operations to spread out. We deal with packaging, so there are always stacks of materials and boxes waiting to be processed. It is not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time on the floor making sure the machines are running correctly. If one breaks down, we usually just fix it ourselves with the tools we have. We are not corporate types who wear suits to work. Most of us are in regular work clothes all day long. The dust from the highway comes in through the open doors, so we are always trying to keep things clean. We have a small staff and we all know each other’s families quite well. It is a quiet life out here, except for the constant sound of the highway traffic. We do not have a big mission statement hanging on the wall. We just focus on the orders we have for the week and try to get them finished. The summers here are very dry and the heat can be intense. We start early to beat the sun. We have a tea break together every morning. It is just a regular workplace doing its job without any extra fuss.
