We’ve been over at 138 Gurudwara Road for a good while now. Most days are just spent sorting through different herbs and getting things ready for whatever needs doing. It gets pretty busy in the mornings because the street is narrow and deliveries arrive at the same time. Vedantika Herbals is mostly about keeping things straightforward. We deal with plant-based stuff, mostly because that is what we have always known. It isn’t some fancy high-tech setup, just a regular place where we get the work done. Sometimes the weather makes things a bit slow, but we just keep at it. People come by and ask questions about what we do, and we just tell them how it is. We do not have a big front desk or a receptionist. It is mostly just us in the back handling the stock. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we first started here. There is a tea stall nearby where we usually take our breaks and talk. The office is tucked away, so if you aren’t looking for it, you might easily miss us. We try to keep things organized, though it doesn't always stay that way when a new shipment comes in. Working with herbs means there is always a specific earthy smell in the air, which we have totally gotten used to over the years. It is just a small team here, and we all know each other's habits well. It is just a job.
