If you are looking for us, we are right near Dhumnagar Chowk in Narkatiaganj. Most people in Shikarpur know where we sit. It’s a hardware shop, so you can imagine there is always a bit of dust and plenty of heavy things lying around. We have been here for a bit now, just doing our thing. The shop gets a lot of people coming in from the nearby villages looking for bits and pieces for their homes or farms. It is a lot of lifting and moving stuff, which keeps us on our toes. Sometimes we have what you need right away, and other times we have to look through the back for it. The chowk is always noisy with tractors and people shouting, but that is just the way things are around here. We open up early and stay until things quiet down in the evening. There isn't anything too special about how we work, we just show up and get to it. You might find us sitting outside on a stool when it's quiet, watching the traffic go by. Dealing with tools and hardware is what we know. It is good work, even if your hands get dirty by noon. We appreciate the regulars who have been coming to us for years. It makes the long days feel a bit shorter when you know the faces. We just try to keep the shelves stocked so no one leaves empty handed.
