Jay Maharashtra Garage

We set up shop at Plot Number 17 on Manor Road. It’s right near the Tata Housing Society, which makes it easy for people in Betegaon to find us. Boisar East has changed a lot, but the garage is still the same. There’s always a car or two sitting outside with the hood up. We spend most of our time with grease on our hands and a wrench nearby. It’s a loud place sometimes with the tools going and the engines running. We have a small office area, but mostly we are out on the floor. The floor is stained with oil from years of work, but that’s just how a garage should be. We open early because people like to drop off their vehicles before they head to work. Some days we are staying late to finish up a job that turned out to be trickier than we thought. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know our way around an engine. We don’t use any complicated jargon when we talk to folks. We just tell them what’s wrong and how we’re going to fix it. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. The Tata Housing Society residents often walk by and say hello. It feels like a real community here on Manor Road. We just keep the motors running.
