Running Mohaveer Enterprises out here near the RMITC on the National Highway 5 Bypass Road has its own set of challenges. The main one is the constant noise from the trucks zooming past on the bypass. You get used to it after a while, though. Our location is convenient for people traveling along the highway, which is why we picked it. The building itself is pretty basic. We’ve got our workspace, a small area for files, and not much else. We deal with a lot of different things here, whatever the local demand seems to be at the time. It’s practical work. My hands are usually a bit dirty from moving crates or checking equipment. We don’t have a website that we update or any of that stuff. Most people find us just by driving past or hearing about us from someone else in the trade. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to stay cool. We’ve been through some tough years and some good years, just like any other business on this stretch of road. We don’t make a big deal out of things. When a customer comes in, we talk to them like a neighbor and see what they need. It’s just us doing our thing every day, trying to stay busy and making sure the bills are paid on time. We take things one day at a time here.
