Important

You can find our office, which goes by the name Important, tucked away in Braja Nagar 2nd Lane. It is one of those narrow streets where you have to be careful when two cars try to pass each other. We have been in this spot for a while and most of the local shopkeepers know us. The building is a bit old, with some paint peeling off the corners, but it stays cool enough in the summer. We don't have a big sign out front, just a small board so people don't miss the turn into the lane. Inside, it is mostly shelves and a few desks piled with files. We spend a lot of time just keeping track of things and making sure nothing gets lost. It is a quiet kind of work. Sometimes the dogs in the lane start barking at a passing rickshaw and it gets a bit loud for a minute. We like being in Braja Nagar because it is close to the market but just far enough away to be peaceful. The 2nd lane has a few big trees that provide some shade for the scooters parked outside. Our daily routine at Important isn't anything special. We arrive, make some tea, and start going through whatever came in the previous day. It is a small operation and we like it that way. We don't need a lot of space to do what we do. Just enough room for the desk and the ledger.
