No Compani Work

Out here in Vill Harinagar, life moves at its own pace. We are based in Purandarpur in the Murshidabad district, and it is a far cry from the big city offices you see in magazines. The name No Compani Work is just something we use because we aren't a big factory or a formal institution. It’s just us working out of a small space near the post office. The pin code is 742171 if you are looking for it on a map. Most days are quiet, except for the birds and the occasional tractor passing by on the main road. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or high-speed internet that never goes down. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just sit and talk for a while until it comes back. It is a very local way of doing things. We know almost everyone in Harinagar. The work gets done, but we don't stress too much about big corporate goals. We find that being honest and just showing up every day is enough. The air is better out here in West Bengal than in the crowded centers. We have a few desks and some files, and that’s about it. It’s a very practical arrangement. We don't need a polished image because the people who know us know what we do. It’s just a small group of us trying to make a living in our own village. We keep things simple and stay focused on our daily tasks.
