Down on Sarjapur Road, specifically in D.K. Halli, you will find our setup in Room No 03 on the ground floor of Janu Nilayam. It is building number 304. Being near the Carmalaram Post means there is always a lot of movement around here. Sreehari is usually the one keeping things running, and the office is pretty basic, just what we need to get the job done. It gets quite dusty with all the construction happening in this part of Bangalore, but that is just life for us. We spend a lot of time coordinating with drivers and making sure the cement bags are stored properly so they don't get damp. The room is small and sometimes gets a bit crowded when a few people come in at once to talk about their building plans. We don't bother with anything fancy, just a few chairs and a desk where the logbook stays. Most of our day is spent on the phone or walking out to the road to see if the next load has arrived yet. It’s a busy area and the noise from the street is constant, but we have gotten used to it over the months. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure everything is in its right place before we close up for the day. It’s simple work but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We just keep our heads down and handle the bags.
