Our office is tucked away in the Chhedanagar part of Chembur, inside a building called Shreyas. Mumbai is always a bit chaotic, and our corner of the city is no different. We spend most of our time dealing with steel structures, which is a lot more complicated than it might look from the outside. It involves a lot of looking at technical drawings and then talking to people on-site to make sure everything fits together properly. The traffic around here can be a real nightmare, especially when we are trying to get across the city for a meeting. We’ve learned to leave early. Our workspace is pretty simple. There are no fancy decorations on the walls, just a few calendars and stacks of project files that need sorting. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons, so the fans are always going. We aren't the type of people who wear suits to work. Usually, it's just plain shirts and trousers because we might have to head out to a dusty site at any moment. Working with steel means you have to be very careful with measurements. Even a small mistake can cause a big headache later on. We’ve had our share of those, and we just work through them. It’s a steady kind of job that requires a lot of patience. Most of the staff have been here for years, so we’ve become a bit like a small family in this busy city.
