Yo China Restaurant

Setting up Yo China Restaurant in Whitefield seemed like a practical choice because so many people work around here and need a place to eat during their break. We are not doing anything revolutionary; we just make Chinese food that people recognize. The kitchen stays busy from morning until late at night. We spend a lot of time dealing with the usual stuff like late deliveries or a leaky faucet in the back. It is just the reality of running a small place. The traffic in Whitefield is always a topic of conversation with our customers while they wait for their takeaway orders. Sometimes it takes them forever just to get down the road to us. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed so they can forget about the cars for a while. Our staff has been together for a while, and we all just pitch in where needed. If the floor needs mopping, whoever is free grabs the bucket. We don't have big corporate meetings or anything. We just talk about what we need for the next day. The menu is simple and we stick to what we know how to make well. It is a lot of chopping and stir-frying in heavy woks. The smell of ginger and garlic is always hanging in the air. We just keep our heads down and work hard to make sure the food is hot when it hits the table.
