Balaji Embroideries is based out of the Mittal Food Compound in the Yeshwantpur industrial suburb. It is an older industrial area, so it is not the prettiest place to look at, but it is where the real work happens every day. Our address is 93/23. Inside the workshop, you will mostly hear the constant sound of the embroidery machines clicking away. We have different colored threads and bits of fabric everywhere you look. It is a busy place and it gets pretty warm in the afternoons when all the machines are running at once. We spend our time looking closely at patterns and making sure the needles are not breaking or snagging the cloth. Yeshwantpur is always loud with trucks and people moving goods around, and we are right in the middle of that mess. We have been in this compound for a long time now. Most of the people working here have really good eyes for detail, which is something you definitely need for this kind of work. We do not have a website with flashy photos or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people who know us and come straight to the shop. We handle a lot of different fabrics, and every day is a bit different depending on what the customer wants. It is honest work that keeps us busy from dawn to dusk. We just focus on the stitching.
