If you head down Doddaballa Pur Main Road in Yelahanka, you'll find us at No 17 in the Susheelamma Layout. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise from the road, but inside the workshop, it’s mostly the hum of the sewing machines. We handle a lot of different clothes here. Some days it’s all about cutting fabric, and other days we are just finishing off the buttons and zippers. There are rolls of cloth leaning against the walls and threads of every color you can think of scattered around. We aren't a high-end boutique with lights and mirrors. It’s more of a place where people are actually making things with their hands. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, or we’re rushing to finish a batch of shirts before the weekend. We have a few regulars who always come to us because they know how we work. The space is a bit tight when we have a lot of orders, but we manage to keep things organized enough to find what we need. We just focus on the stitching and making sure the sizes are what they’re supposed to be. It’s a lot of sitting and focusing on small details, which can be hard on the eyes after a few hours. We just take it one piece at a time and keep moving.
