Yamini Traders

Yamini Traders is based out in Kottigepalya, which is part of the Bangalore North Thaluk in the Kennalli area. It is a bit further out than some of the other places, but we like the space we have here. The neighborhood is still developing in some ways, so there is always some construction or new road work going on nearby. Our setup is pretty basic. We have a warehouse area and a small section where we handle the paperwork. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see different people behind the desk depending on what time of day it is. We deal with a lot of local suppliers and people from the surrounding villages who need various goods. It isn’t a high-end retail shop; it’s more of a place where things get traded and moved around. The floors are concrete and the lighting isn't the best, but it gets the job done for us. We don't have a big team of sales people or anything like that. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to us for years because they know where we are and how we work. We stay open pretty late most days because that is when a lot of our deliveries arrive. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and checking lists, but we are used to the routine by now.
