Woods

Over at No.118/1 on Infantry Road, you will find Woods. We are right opposite the Central Lodge. It’s a very busy part of the city and the noise from the traffic never really stops. Inside the shop, things are a bit cramped. We have different types of wood pieces piled up against the walls. It isn't a polished store. The walls are a bit faded and the lighting is just some old tube lights. I spend most of my day moving planks around or talking to people who drop in. Infantry Road has a lot of history and we have been here for quite a while now. Some days it gets really hot and we just leave the front door wide open to get a bit of a breeze. My clothes usually have a bit of dirt on them from handling the stock. We don't have any big corporate signs or anything like that. It is just a local business where we get on with things. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the entrance and we have to help them move. It’s a bit chaotic but that is just how it is around here. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. If you need something, you just come in and ask. That's the way we've always handled things at Woods. We aren't going to win any awards for decor but the wood is good and the work gets done.
