Sps Automation Engineering

We’re located at New No. 208 over in White Field. This area has changed a lot lately, but we’ve stayed focused on the automation side of things. It’s mostly about building systems and figuring out how to make machines work together better. Our space is filled with wires, control panels, and a lot of different testing equipment. It’s not always organized perfectly because we usually have three or four different things being built at once. The engineers are usually hunched over their benches or typing away at some code. It’s a bit of a commute for some of us, but this is where the industry is, so it makes sense to be here. We don't have a big sales team; we just let the work we do for other factories and plants speak for itself. Sometimes a project takes longer than we thought because a part is late or the logic isn't quite right, but we just stick with it until it’s sorted out. The office gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of components delivered at once. We drink a lot of tea and spend a lot of time troubleshooting. It’s quiet work for the most part, except for the occasional sound of a motor being tested. We just keep our heads down and get the engineering done. Most of the time, our whiteboard is covered in diagrams and chicken-scratch notes about the next job.
