Peenya Industrial Area is a tough place to work sometimes, but it’s where we belong. We are located at Plot No. 447, right on the 12th Cross in the 4th Phase. Weigh Control Systems Pvt Ltd has been here long enough that the dust on the windows feels like part of the furniture. We spend our time fixing and checking scales and weighing machines. It is heavy work. There is always the sound of metal clanging or someone moving a forklift nearby. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, just another gate in a long row of gates, but inside we have everything we need to get through the day. We usually have a few machines pulled apart on the floor and tools scattered across the benches. It gets noisy when the neighboring units start their shifts, but you get used to it after a week. Most of the people who work here live close by or take the bus into the industrial estate. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone in a suit. It is mostly just us in our work shirts, making sure the measurements are right. The coffee machine breaks more often than the scales do, which is a bit of a joke among the staff. We just keep at it, day in and day out, in this corner of Peenya. It's practical work that needs to be done right every single time.
