Rajarajeshwari Nagar has changed quite a bit since we first got here at BEML Layout. Our place is over in Chansandra Village at number 24, and it’s a decent enough spot for what we do. We mostly handle distributions and keep track of what’s coming and going on the trucks. It’s a lot of lists and checking boxes, honestly. The morning starts with clearing the entrance so the vans can back in properly without hitting the gate. It’s a narrow enough space that you have to be careful. The office part is just a couple of desks and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor or making things look pretty. It’s more about making sure the right boxes get to the right people. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when it’s not too hot just to get away from the paperwork for a few minutes. You can hear the neighborhood waking up, dogs barking, and people heading off to their own jobs. The village side of the area still feels a bit different from the main city, maybe a little slower, which is nice when things get hectic. We stay pretty busy throughout the afternoon, especially when the late deliveries show up unexpectedly. By the time we lock up, the streetlights are usually flickering on and it's time to head home through the RR Nagar traffic. It’s a long day, but we get by okay.
