Viridis Architecture

Our office is located at No 8 Ali Asker Road, just off the Cunningham Road Cross. It’s a nice old part of the city, and we like being here. Viridis Architecture isn't a massive firm, just a handful of us who like designing buildings. The office itself is quite cozy, with plenty of books and magazines about architecture stacked up on the shelves. We spend a lot of time sketching by hand before we move anything to the computer. There’s something about using a pencil that just feels right. Cunningham Road can get pretty congested, so we usually try to get in early to avoid the worst of it. We don't have a big fancy sign outside, just a small one so people know they’re at the right place. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and a big table where we can spread out drawings. Sometimes we spend the whole afternoon just debating where a window should go or how a staircase should turn. It’s a slow process sometimes, but we don't like to rush things. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while and know the local shops and where to get some decent snacks for the afternoon break. It’s a comfortable place to work. We don't put on any airs; we just come in, do the drawings, talk to the contractors, and head home. It’s a straightforward way to live.
