Our business, Srls Chemicals Vy, is situated out by Bhattarahalli near the Virgonagar Post on Old Madras Road. It’s an area with a lot of warehouses and transport trucks passing through. We deal with various chemical supplies that are used by other industries. The warehouse is a big, open space with concrete floors and high ceilings. You can often smell the faint scent of different materials when you walk in. We have to be very careful with how we stack things and move the drums around. It’s heavy work and we use a manual trolley for most of the lifting. We don't have a big sales team. Usually, people just call us up or send a message when they need a delivery. Old Madras Road is always crowded, so we have to plan our shipping carefully or the trucks get stuck for hours. The office part is just a partitioned corner of the warehouse with a desk and a computer that is always covered in a fine layer of dust. We’ve been at this for several years now. It’s not a clean or quiet job, but it’s what we do. We focus on making sure the quantities are right and the labels are clear. We don't have any flashy brochures. We just show up every morning, check the inventory, and get the orders ready for the day. It’s a simple routine but it works well.
