Vikram Eye Clinic

Vikram Eye Clinic is over at number 99 on the 4th Cross in Jayanagar 1st Block. Specifically, we are in the 1st E Block area, right across from the Chitramala Apartments. It’s a fairly quiet residential pocket compared to the main commercial roads. You won't find us by looking for big neon signs; we just have a modest board outside. The clinic itself is kept very plain. We have a few rooms for eye exams and a place for people to wait. The building is an older style, which we quite like. It has high ceilings that keep it a bit cooler when the Bangalore heat picks up in the afternoon. Most of our day is spent looking through lenses and writing down numbers. It’s quiet work, and we like it that way. Every now and then, a car from the apartments across the street will honk, but otherwise, it’s just the sound of the ceiling fans. We don't really do much to promote the place. People usually find us because they live nearby or someone told them we were here. We keep the files in big metal cabinets and use a regular old pen for most of our notes. It’s not high-tech in the waiting room, just a place to sit and wait your turn. When the clock hits closing time, we turn off the fans and head home to start again tomorrow. It's a steady routine for everyone here.
