Bombay Furnitures

Bombay Furnitures is located over on M Nanjappa Road in Vidyaranayapura. We’ve been at this No. 52/2 address for a long time now. If you walk in, you’ll probably smell sawdust and polish right away. We aren't one of those big malls where everything looks perfect but breaks in a month. Our pieces are heavy and meant to stay in your house for years. The showroom is a bit cramped because we try to fit a lot in there so people have choices. Sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze to walk between the sofas and dining tables. We have a few guys in the back who are always busy with hammers and saws. It gets noisy, but that’s the sound of work. We don't really do the whole "interior design" talk. We just show you what’s available or tell you what we can make. People around the neighborhood know us well. They stop by to ask about a repair or to see if we have something new. We try to keep our prices fair because we know the families living around here. It’s a family-run thing, really. You might see my son helping out after his classes or my wife checking the books. We don't have a big corporate office; we just have our shop and our tools. It's enough for us to keep going and provide for our own. We enjoy seeing our furniture in the homes of our neighbors.
