Venkis Motors

Venkis Motors is located at No.36 on MES Road, right across from Mother Terace College. If you’re around Mathikere, you’ve probably passed by us without thinking much about it. It’s a noisy area, mostly because of the college students and the buses that roar down the main road all day long. We’re usually covered in grease or some kind of oil by lunchtime. That’s just the nature of working on motors. The shop is a bit cramped, but we’ve learned how to fit everything we need into the corners of Venkis Motors. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a waiting room with a TV. Usually, people just stand around and chat while we look at their machines. We get all sorts of vehicles coming in, some in better shape than others. Some days we are buried in work and other days we’re just cleaning up the tools and waiting for the next job. The heat under the tin roof gets pretty intense in the afternoons, so we drink a lot of tea to keep going. We know most of the shop owners on this block. It’s a decent community here in Mathikere. We don't really bother with big advertisements or anything for Venkis Motors. People find us because they live nearby or they go to the college across the street. We just focus on the engines and trying to get the parts to fit right every day.
