Venkat

My business, which I just call Venkat, is over in Vijinapura, Bangalore. The address is No. 81, and we are right near the Subramanya Temple. That temple is a great landmark because everyone knows it. This area, Doorvaninagar, is where I’ve spent a lot of my time. It’s a local neighborhood and I like being part of it. I don't have a big corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. It's a simple space where I work. I might have one or two people helping me out when things get busy, but mostly it's just me. Bangalore has become so crowded and fast-paced, but our little corner near the temple stays a bit more traditional. People stop by to talk about their day or ask for help with something. I don't have a mission statement or a big plan to take over the world. I just want to do my work honestly and earn a living for my family. Some days are very quiet and I just sit and watch the people going to the temple. Other days I have more work than I can handle. I don't do any advertising or social media stuff. If people need me, they know where I am. I’ve lived and worked here for years, so I know almost everyone on the street. It’s a practical, simple way to live. I just take things as they come and do what I can.
