You can find Vasan Eye Care Hospital over at number 46 in the 1st Block of Rajaji Nagar. We are located pretty close to the Navrang Theatre, so that's usually the easiest way to tell people where to go when they call for directions. Rajaji Nagar is always moving and shaking, and our building is right in the middle of all that activity. We spend our time checking eyes and helping people see a bit better than they did when they walked in. Some days it’s crowded with people waiting for their turns, and other days it’s a bit more relaxed and quiet. We have all the machines for eye exams and all that technical stuff. It’s a lot of asking people to read letters off a wall or looking through various lenses to see which one works. Our staff has been here for a good while, so we know how to get through the day-to-day tasks without much fuss. It isn't a flashy place, just a functional hospital where we do our jobs as best as we can. People come from all over this part of the city. We see older folks who can't read their morning papers anymore and younger people who need glasses for school. It’s a mix of everything. The theater nearby always has something going on, so there’s plenty of life on our street. We just keep our heads down and focus on the patients who are sitting in front of us. When the day ends, we pack up our things and get ready to do it all again tomorrow. It’s honest work and we are glad to be part of the local scene here in Rajaji Nagar.
