Vardhaman Marbles & Granites

We've been at the B Basement in Highway Towers for quite a while now. If you've driven down the Mumbai Pune Road near Adugodi, you probably saw our sign. It’s a bit dusty down here because of all the marble cutting, but that’s just how it goes in this trade. We spend most of our days moving heavy slabs around and making sure the granite doesn't chip. It’s hard work on the back, but we are used to it by now. The shop isn't fancy. There’s no big showroom with bright lights, just stacks of stone and a small desk where we handle the paperwork. Sometimes the traffic on the highway makes it a bit loud, especially in the afternoons when the big trucks go by. Most people who come in are looking for something specific for their kitchens or floors. We show them what we have in stock and tell them how much it costs. There isn't much more to it than that. We just try to keep things simple and get the orders loaded up on the tempos without any fuss. It’s a local business and we know a lot of the contractors around here. Sometimes we sit out front when it’s quiet and just watch the cars go past toward the city. It’s a steady life. We don't really do much advertising because people usually just find us by driving past or hearing about us from a neighbor who bought some stone here last year.
