V2 Plants Inc

If you drive down Begur Road, you’ll see our spot at number 2. V2 Plants Inc is basically just a lot of green stuff in pots and some dirt. We spend most of our mornings watering everything before the sun gets too high and starts burning the leaves. It is a lot of physical work, moving heavy ceramic pots and bags of soil from one corner to the other. My fingernails are almost never clean, no matter how much I scrub them at night. We have all sorts of plants, some that need a lot of shade and others that just want to sit in the heat all day. Sometimes a batch doesn't do well because of a cold snap or a bug, and we have to deal with that. It’s not a perfect garden like you see in magazines. There are plastic trays everywhere and hoses snaking across the ground that people trip over if they aren't careful. We just like seeing things grow. People stop by asking what will live on their balcony or if their fiddle leaf fig is dying because of too much water. We tell them what we know from just being out here every day. It’s quiet in the early hours, just the sound of the birds and the water hitting the soil. Then the road gets busy and the peace goes away, but the plants don't seem to mind the noise much. We also keep a few stray cats around that sleep in the shade.
