V S Harinath Contractors

We set up shop at Sabarmati 27 in BTM Layout 2nd Stage because it’s a good spot to reach different parts of the city. V S Harinath Contractors is basically just a group of us who know how to handle different types of jobs. Some days we are fixing a roof and other days we are looking at a foundation. It’s a lot of running around from one site to another. Our van is usually full of tools and leftover scraps from the last job we finished. We don't have a fancy office with leather chairs. It's mostly just a place to keep our gear and meet up in the morning to decide who is going where. The weather sometimes messes up our schedule, but we try to make up for it by working a bit later when the sun is out. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so I know most of the shortcuts to avoid the main road traffic. We aren't the type to wear suits or give big presentations. We just show up, look at the problem, and figure out how to fix it with what we have. It can be exhausting, especially during the summer heat, but it’s honest work. Most people find us through friends or neighbors who we’ve helped out before. We just try to do a decent job so we can keep the lights on and move on to the next one.
