V S Glass Works

Down in Whitefield at No.66, 4th Cross, 7th Main, you can find V S Glass Works. This is Vinayaka Layout, which is a fairly quiet area most of the time. We work with glass, so things are usually pretty fragile around here. We have tables set up for cutting and tools scattered around for various jobs. It is dusty because of the grinding and the fine glass particles that seem to get everywhere no matter how much we sweep. Most of the work involves measuring twice and hoping we do not break a sheet while moving it. The shop at No.66 isn't particularly fancy. We have some samples of different glass types, but mostly it is just a workspace. People bring in their window frames or ask for mirrors to be cut to a specific size. We spend a lot of time wearing gloves and safety glasses because getting a cut is too easy in this line of work. The 7th Main road gets some traffic, but our corner is usually okay for parking a bike or a small van. We have been in Vinayaka Layout for some time now and most people in the neighborhood know where to find us. It is a steady pace of work. We are not trying to change the world, just trying to get the glass cut straight and delivered without any cracks. The machinery is loud sometimes but we are used to it by now.
