The Raymond Shop

We’ve been sitting here at No. 10 Utility Building on M. G. Road for a good while now. It’s a busy spot, and people usually pop in when they need something specific for a wedding or maybe just a new shirt for the office. Being The Raymond Shop, we deal with a lot of fabric and tailoring. It’s mostly just us measuring things, looking at swatches, and making sure the fit isn't off. The shop floor gets a bit dusty with all the thread and offcuts, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working with cloth all day. Some regulars come in just to chat about what’s new in the bins, while others are in a rush to get a suit sorted before a deadline. It isn't anything fancy behind the scenes, just a few of us making sure the shelves are stocked and the chalk marks are in the right places. We see a lot of people passing through this part of town, and we try to keep things moving. The lights in the building can be a bit dim in the evenings, but we stay open until the usual time. If you’re walking down M. G. Road, you’ll see our sign near the other shops. It’s a straightforward setup. We handle the cutting, the stitching, and the fittings without much fuss. It's just a local place where you get your clothes sorted and head back out into the traffic. It gets noisy with the cars outside, but it’s home for us.
