Usha Elevator Ltd

We've been over here on 5th Main Road in Vasanth Nagar for a long while now. Usha Elevator Ltd is just a small place, really, not some big headquarters you might expect. Most days you’ll find us at 23/1, either answering the phone or grabbing some tea from the shop next door while we wait for the next call to come in. It’s a busy street with lots of cars and bikes going by all the time, but we like it here. When someone has a lift that’s acting up, they usually just walk right in or give us a quick shout. We don't have a big fancy lobby with air conditioning or soft chairs. It's just some desks and a bunch of spare parts lying around in the back room. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a funny clicking noise, which is a bit ironic since we spend all our time fixing mechanical things for other people. My nephew helps out on weekends when he isn't in school. We deal with all sorts of elevators, old ones, new ones, it doesn't really matter much to us. The stairs in our own building are actually a bit steep, so maybe we should have installed one of our own units here at 23/1 a long time ago. The weather lately has been quite hot, making the workshop feel a bit stuffy. We keep the front door wide open to get a little breeze. It's just how it is.
