Universal Impex

Our office for Universal Impex is located at Flat No. 301, Shiva Residency. We are on Plot No. 20/1 in J. P. Nagar 7th Phase, near Puttenhalli. It’s a residential building, so it’s got a very different vibe than an industrial park. We like it because it’s close to home and we don’t have to spend hours in traffic every morning. The office is basically one large room with a couple of desks and a lot of filing cabinets. From the balcony, we can see the neighborhood changing as new buildings go up. We spend our days coordinating with suppliers and making sure our inventory is moving. It’s a lot of logistical work, checking dates and making sure the transport guys show up on time. Sometimes the lift in the building is under maintenance, so we have to carry samples up the stairs, which is a good workout I guess. We aren't trying to be the biggest player in the market. We just want to do our job well and keep our customers happy so they come back. We have a small kitchen in the corner where we make tea for whoever drops by. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, but we take the work seriously. Most of our clients have been with us for years, so they know how we operate. We don’t do much advertising; we just rely on doing a decent job every day and staying honest.
