We are located on the 7th Cross in Phase III of the Peenya Industrial Area. Plot No 103 is where all the manufacturing happens. Being in Peenya, we are surrounded by all kinds of factories, but we mostly focus on the aerospace parts. It’s a bit more precise than general metalwork, so the shop floor is kept a bit cleaner than most. Unimech Aerospace has been growing slowly over the years. We started with just a couple of machines and now the place is pretty full. You can hear the hum of the equipment from the street. The guys on the floor are usually busy with blueprints or checking the calibration on the lathes. It’s not the kind of work you can rush. We spend a lot of time on the details because that’s what the job needs. The office is just a small corner partitioned off from the main area where we keep the paperwork. It gets pretty busy around here during shift changes. We don’t have a marketing department or anything like that. People find us because of the work we’ve done before. We just try to keep our heads down and finish the parts on schedule. It’s a lot of long hours, but seeing the finished pieces ready to go out is worth it. We just grab a tea at the stall nearby and get back to the machines.
