Our place is over in Kariyanapalya, specifically on Mariamma Temple Road. If you know the area, it’s quite a busy stretch. We’re up on the first floor at 78/2. The stairs are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful when you’re carrying things up. It’s a practical workspace, nothing too flashy. Since we’re near the temple, we hear the bells and the music during festival times, which is actually quite nice to have in the background. We handle structural work, so there are always drawings and blueprints spread out on the big table. It’s a bit of a squeeze when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. The neighborhood is full of life, with shops and people walking by all day. We’ve been here in Lingarajapuram for quite a while now, so we know the local shops for stationery or getting a quick lunch. The office has big windows, but they mostly look out onto the street and the other buildings nearby. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working on the computer. It’s the kind of place where you can just walk in and see us working. We don’t really have a big reception area or anything like that. It’s just us doing our jobs and trying to keep everything moving forward. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or use the backup we have.
